(Right to left) The USS Arizona (BB-39), USS Tennessee (BB-43), and the USS West Virginia (BB-48). The USS Tennessee was hit by two bombs soon after the attack began. One exploded when it hit the face of turret #2, the second penetrated turret #3 and exploded within the bowels of the ship. Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. December 7, 1941.
