 Two graders from the 340th Engineer Regiment, at work on leveling the roadbed for the Alcan Highway, June 1942. The Alaska Highway (also known Alaska-Canadian Highway, or ALCAN Highway) was constructed during World War II and connects the Continental U.S. to Alaska through Canada.
