Product Information
Units 1 to 30 were delivered to the Union Pacific, these units, nicknamed "Big Blows" because of their high noise levels, were very different from the previous generations. A larger turbine produced 8500 horsepower (6.3 MW), and the unit consisted of two permanently coupled six-axle units, giving a C-C+C-C
wheel arrangement.
