 The USS California (BB-44) listing and oiler USS Neosho (AO-23), loaded with aviation fuel is trying to move out of the way. Later at 0930 hours the Japanese planes would strafe the Neosho, but to no apparent effect. If the Japanese hit the fully loaded Neosho the resulting inferno would have been disastrous, December 7, 1941.
