Troops and Tank from the 741 and 743rd Tank Battalion try to land on Omaha Beach. Between the two tank Battalions, 112 tanks assigned to the first wave at Omaha Beach, with 56 tanks in each of the 741st and 743rd Tank Battalions, many of the tanks were lost trying to get to shore, Normandy, Omaha Beach, June 6, 1944.
