The U.S.Coast Guard LST-21 formed part of the LST Division 101, Group 51, Flotilla 17 it is the flag ship. Division 101 is assigned with the Force G, Group "A" it will transport the elements of the 56th Independent Infantry Brigade attached to the 50th Infantry Division on Gold Beach.
